This website is operated by Peter Buck (“we”, “us”). It’s a personal portfolio with one interactive tool, INTERROGATE. This page explains, plainly, what happens to your information.
Private by default. We don't publish your work or keep it after processing. It is sent only to the services needed to run INTERROGATE.
INTERROGATE is optional. You choose what to submit. You can upload images, PDFs, and one short film (up to 5 minutes), and you can optionally add a brief and case details (client, agency, campaign or title). INTERROGATE does not accept Vimeo or YouTube links.
INTERROGATE uses artificial intelligence to examine your work against 12 creative principles. As the tool says up front: Interrogated by AI. Human judgment still required. The written interrogation and the per-principle star ratings are AI-generated. If you upload a film, its audio is transcribed so the analysis can consider what's said. The optional Full Report PDF and LinkedIn carousel are created in your browser.
We say INTERROGATE is "private by default", and here's exactly what that means: we don't publish your submissions, don't show them to anyone else, and don't save them to a database. To actually analyse your work, we send it to specialist AI providers on our behalf — Anthropic (the interrogation) and, for a film's audio, OpenAI (transcription). These run on their servers, which are in the United States, under their own terms.
An uploaded film is held in a private, temporary location only while it's being processed, then deleted (and any leftover file is removed within about 15 minutes). Your images, PDFs, extracted frames, transcript, brief and case details are processed only to produce your interrogation and are not stored by us afterwards. The report and carousel PDFs exist only in your browser unless you download them. We can't independently control how long Anthropic or OpenAI retain data sent through their APIs — please see their terms.
The site includes a chat assistant. Questions you type into it are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. Please don't enter sensitive personal information into the chat.
Some case-study pages embed videos from Vimeo with Do Not Track enabled (dnt=1). Loading a video still contacts Vimeo and may set limited cookies.
Depending on what you do on the site, these providers may process information: Google (analytics), Anthropic (AI interrogation and the chat assistant), OpenAI (film-audio transcription), Vercel (hosting and temporary file processing), Upstash (rate-limiting and anonymous vote tallies), and Vimeo (embedded videos). Several are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside your country under their respective safeguards.
INTERROGATE is entirely voluntary — you decide what to submit and whether to download or share the results. You can withdraw or change analytics consent any time via Cookie settings in the footer, and block or delete cookies in your browser. Declining analytics doesn't affect your use of the site.
EEA / UK
You can access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
California — CCPA/CPRA
California residents can know, delete, and correct personal information, and opt out of its "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell or share your personal information. Analytics stay off until you opt in.
